TrekMap is a travel bucket-list and journal built around an interactive world map. If something is broken, confusing, or missing, we want to hear about it.
Contact us
Email support@trekmap.co. We read everything and usually reply within two business days. It helps a lot if you include your username, the device and OS version you're on, and a screenshot.
Common questions
- A place I shared didn't get pinned. When you share a TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, or YouTube link into TrekMap, we read that post to work out which destination it's about. Private posts, posts that name no place, and posts that have been taken down can't be resolved — add the place by hand from the map and the pin behaves identically.
- My map is empty after signing in. Check you signed in with the same method you signed up with. Email sign-in and Google sign-in create separate accounts even when the address is the same.
- I'm not getting flight-deal alerts. Deals need a home airport set, and at least one saved place to hunt fares toward. Set both under Profile → Settings.
- Location or photo permission got denied. iOS only asks once. Re-enable it in iOS Settings → TrekMap.
Reporting content and blocking people
TrekMap has no tolerance for abusive or objectionable content. Every publicly shared spot, every comment, and every profile carries a “…” menu with two actions:
- Report. Pick a reason — spam, harassment, hate speech, sexual content, violence, illegal activity, or something else. Reports are anonymous to the person who posted. Content that collects several independent reports is hidden automatically while we review it, so removal doesn't wait on us being awake.
- Block. Blocking works in both directions: you and the blocked traveler stop seeing each other's spots, comments, and profiles, and any existing trek-mate link between you is removed. You can undo it under Settings → Blocked accounts.
To escalate something urgent, or to report content you can't reach in the app, email support@trekmap.co. We act on reports of illegal content immediately.
Managing your account
- Export your data. Settings → Account & privacy → Download my data gives you everything we hold for you as a JSON file.
- Delete your account. Settings → Account & privacy → Delete my account permanently erases your account and everything attached to it — saved places, trips, journal entries, drafts, watches, notification subscriptions, and uploads. It is immediate and irreversible, and it needs no email to us. If you can't reach the app, use trekmap.co/delete-account or email support@trekmap.co from your account address and we'll do it for you.
- Reset your password. Use trekmap.co/reset-password.
